Performance & Lameness Medicine

Radiographs(X-Rays)

Mobile digital X-ray unit available with on-site evaluation. Option for referral to a board-certified veterinary radiologist for additional specialized interpretation.

Ultrasound

Mobile ultrasound unit can be used for a diverse array of cases from diagnosing lameness due to soft-tissue injuries or advanced ultrasound-guided injections (SI, neck, etc.), to colic and pneumonia workup.

Joint & Soft Tissue Injections

Equine joint and soft tissue therapies can involve traditional steroid injections, as well as innovative options such as veterinary biologics (Pro-Stride APS or ProVet APC) or stem cells.

Pre-Purchase Exams

In-depth physical, musculoskeletal and flexion exams can help gather as much information as possible prior to buying a new horse. With options for radiographs, ultrasound, endoscopy, bloodwork, etc., added diagnostics can help to make an informed decision prior to a big purchase of a new equine partner.

Veterinary Medical Manipulation (Chiropractic)

Thorough palpation exam and adjustment of restrictions to facilitate optimal neurological and musculoskeletal function. 

PulseVet Shock Wave Therapy

Shock wave is a noninvasive, high-energy sound wave treatment. It helps to relieve pain, speed healing, and improve quality of healing.

Rehabilitation & Medical Board

Boarding and medical management for rehabilitation cases with resident veterinarian on-site.

Excellent for tendon/ligament injuries, post-surgery recovery, eye problems, laminitis management, and more!

Vaccines

Keep your horses protected year-round from preventable diseases that put them at-risk

Coggins (EIA) Testing

Annual testing required for competition or interstate and international movement

Health Certificates & Insurance Exams

Exam and form required for interstate or international movement and some competitions or insuring an equid

Dentistry

Oral exams and power floating performed with IV sedation, full mouth speculum and light. Wolf tooth removal and oral radiograph capabilities. 

Geriatric Management

Anyone with an older horse knows that they have their own unique needs. Nutrition, dentistry, deworming, and routine exams are vital to a geriatric horse's longevity and quality of life, and can help catch issues early before they become bigger problems.

Endoscopy

Portable 1 and 3.5 m digital endoscopes capable of viewing internal structures of the body such as upper airway, esophagus, and stomach.

Surgical procedures performed on-farm

Castration

Normal, healthy colts or stallions castrated under general anesthesia in the field

Mass Removal

Management of tumors with surgical excision, biopsy and options for chemotherapeutic/immunologic treatment or combination therapy for masses such as sarcoids, melanomas, squamous cell carcinomas, etc. 

Enucleation

Removal of the eye performed with standing sedation and local blocking for cases after traumatic injury, chronic uveitis, or other painful conditions


Emergency Medicine

Equine emergency coverage provided for active clients or those referred from our network veterinary practices

Colic & Choke Management

On-farm triage and medical management of abdominal pain and esophageal obstruction or option for referral to hospital

Injuries & Laceration Repair

Serum Amyloid A (SAA) Test

SAA testing is a useful stall-side blood test used to measure inflammatory markers in less than 10 minutes.

Service Areas

Our practice is based out of Holiday, Florida. We generally travel no more than an hour or so in any direction. Frequently serviced areas include Odessa, Lutz, Tarpon Springs, New Port Richey, Hudson, Spring Hill, Brooksville, Tampa, Pinellas Park, Largo, Land O’ Lakes. Farther cities may be considered for larger barns upon request.

Areas routinely serviced include about an hour around New Port Richey (Odessa, Tampa, Lutz, Hudson, Brooksville, Dade City, Lutz, Pinellas Park, etc.). If you are inquiring about an area not listed, please contact us for availability and pricing.
